Dojo Etiquette 1. Please remove your shoes and socks before walking onto mat. 2. Remove all jewelry such as watches, rings, necklaces, and earrings. 3. Please wash your gi regularly. Fingernails and toenails should be kept short. Practice good general hygiene. 4. Students should bow when entering or leaving the dojo. When changing partners, acknowledge the one you are leaving and your new one with a bow. 5. Classes start promptly. If you arrive late, wait to be bowed in by sensei. 6. Your partner's safety is of utmost importance. Look before throwing, and always throw toward the center- not toward the walls. 7. Never leave the mat without permission. Report any injury to the instructor. 8. LEAVE YOUR EGO AT THE DOOR. 9. Always observe the seven virtues of Bushido-The way of the warrior.
